The Pierce County Council has adopted Ordinance 2009-67s which renews the permit extension process first adopted last fall under Ordinance 2008-115s. Holders of eligible permits can now request a 24-month extension through 12/31/09. Any permit that was extended under the original PC ordinance authorizing extensions cannot be extended again.
Many existing permits are vested under land use regulations, including storm drainage regulations, that have been changed by community plans or other ordinances since they were applied for. You may be able to protect the value of your property by requesting extensions under the provisions of this Ordinance.
